beIN Sports France to launch beIN Sports 3 on 15/09/2014 for non-football sports

The pay-TV group beIN Sports France announced on 07/08/2014 that it would launch beIN Sports 3, its third major channel, on 15/09/2014. The new channel will join the group's two major channels (beIN Sports 1 and 2). It will replace the additional channel beIN Sports Max 3. The other seven additional channels (beIN Sports Max 4-10) that the sports broadcaster has in France will be preserved.

beIN Sports 3 will be devoted entirely to sports other than football, including handball (French D1), tennis, basketball, rugby, cycling, track and field and judo. The channel will be included in beIN Sports' subscription package at no additional cost.

"The launch of beIN Sports 3 will allow us to better promote our offer and all of our match programming by offering differentiation between our three channels. Each sport will now have its rightful place on one of the three channels. This will allow the subscriber to navigate easier and to better take advantage of our programming," said Florent Houzot, the managing editor of beIN Sports France, on 07/08/2014.
