RC Lens: Agreement made with Amiens for club's home games at Stade de la Licorne in 2014-15

The agreement, which authorises RC Lens to play 16 of its 19 Ligue 1 home games at the Stade de la Licorne (Amiens, capacity 12,000), was signed on 08/08/2014. It was ratified by Alain Gest, the president of Amiens Métropole; Bernard Joannin, the president of Amiens SC (National, French third division); and by Gervais Martel, the president of RC Lens.

The Félix Bollaert-Delelis stadium (Lens), home of RC Lens since 1934, is currently under renovation for Euro 2016 (France, from 10/06 to 10/07/2016). The decision to play in the Stade de la Licorne, where Amiens SC also plays, was made official by RC Lens on 29/07/2014.

"For sports and logistical reasons, after analysis, we want to anchor our season around a unique stadium. Amiens (located 70km from the city of Lens) presented more pluses during the negotiations, which began in November 2013, with the public authorities and operators of the stadiums closest to Lens," said RC Lens on 29/07/2014.
