Ligue 1 Uber Eats: MBS Sport acquires English-language broadcasting rights in Nigeria

The African agency MBS Sport (a subsidiary of the British group Media Business Solutions) has acquired the English broadcasting rights to the Ligue 1 Uber Eats and the Trophée des Champions, for Nigeria, over the 2021-2024 cycle, from beIN Media Group, announced the agency on 02/12/2021, while the agreement has been effective since 19/11/2021.

The agreement includes exclusive free-to-air, pay-TV, mobile and digital rights. MBS Sport has agreements with the broadcasting networks ONTV, WAZOBIA, STV, NTA.

The English language rights in Nigeria were previously held by China's StarTimes Group, over the 2018-2021 cycle. French pay-TV group Canal+ holds the Ligue 1 Uber Eats' French-language broadcasting rights in sub-Saharan Africa.
