Premier League: Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts of the 20 clubs (December 2021)

The 20 clubs involved in the 2021-22 Premier League season have more than 611 million fans on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/12/2021. This total enables the Premier League to maintain its position as the most popular European Top 5 league, all three social networks combined, ahead of LaLiga Santander, with an average of over 30.5 million fans per club.

Manchester United FC are the most popular English club with nearly 156 million fans, followed by Chelsea FC, with over 99 million, and Liverpool FC, with more than 90 million.

The Mancunian club posted the best increase in absolute value during the month of November 2021 with 1.7 million additional followers, including 60% on Instagram alone (+1 million). No other club in the European Top 5 performed better over the period.

Aston Villa FC posted the best percentage growth among the Premier League clubs on Instagram (+3.7%), Twitter (+2.4%), while West Ham United FC posted the best growth on Facebook (+1.7%).
