Bundesliga: attendance for Matchday 14 (11,202 spectators per game; 2 matches behind closed doors)

Matchday 14 of the 2021-22 Bundesliga drew an average of 11,202 spectators per match from Friday 03 to Sunday 05/12/2021. The average fill rate was 27.2%.

After a significant upturn that started on Matchday 8, the attendance in German stadiums has dropped significantly due to the resurgence of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country. As was the case at the beginning of the season, the Bundesliga stadiums are back to very limited capacity, and some of them are even closed to the public. TSG 1899 Hoffenheim - Eintracht Frankfurt (3-2) and FC Augsburg - VfL Bochum (2-3) were played behind closed doors, while VfB Stuttgart - Hertha BSC (2-2) only welcomed 395 spectators. These three games are not included in the matchday average. 

Borussia Dortmund - FC Bayern Munich (2-3), on Saturday 04/12/2021 (kick-off at 18:30 CET), was the game that posted the best attendance with 15,000 spectators at Signal Iduna Park (81,365 capacity), for a fill rate of 18.4%.

The average attendance of the Bundesliga is down to 21,812 spectators per game after 14 matchdays, for an average fill rate of 50.6 %.
