AS Roma: Unicredit sells the shares that it holds in the club to president Pallotta for €33m

The Italian bank Unicredit sold the shares that it held in the company NEEP Roma Holding S.p.A., the holding company that manages AS Roma (Serie A), to AS Roma SPV LLC, announced the two companies and the holding firm Raptor Holdco LLC on 11/08/2014. The transaction is valued at €33m.

NEEP Roma Holding holds 78% of AS Roma's capital. Unicredit held to this day 31% of NEEP Roma Holding, with the remaining 69% divided between AS Roma SPV (60%) and Raptor Holdco (9%), two investments funds owned by James Pallotta, the American president of the Roman club. AS Roma SPV's share in NEEP Roma Holding's capital now reaches 91%.

James Pallotta now holds 100% of NEEP Roma Holding's capital, "directly and indirectly via Raptor Holdco LLC", announced the three companies on 11/08/2014. They added that the shareholders' agreement between Unicredit, AS Roma SPV and Raptor Holdco, signed on 18/08/2011 and amended on 01/08/2013, has now come to an end.
