Bundesliga: Ford Germany extends with 1. FC Köln in 2014-15

The German subsidiary of the American automobile manufacturer Ford extended its sponsorship contract with 1. FC Köln for 2014-15, the club announced on 11/08/2014.

Ford supports the club since 1994. The brand will supply vehicles to the players, staff members and administrative personnel of 1. FC Köln during the 2014-15 season. Ford will also be displayed on LED advertising, on the club's communications and in its training center. The partnership is estimated at €500,000 for 2014-15.

Ford Germany's headquarters are located in Cologne.

Ford's withdrawal from the Champions League

• Ford announced the end of its partnership with UEFA (Union of European Football Association) and the Champions League after the 2013-14 final, on 11/03/2014.
  • The brand sponsored the Champions League since 1992-93.
  • The contract was estimated at €50m per year.
• Ford's withdrawal coincides with the group's reduction of its loss from 8% to €1.15bn on the European market in 2013.
