Germany: Ergo (insurance), official partner of the Federation (DFB) for five years (2022-2026)

Ergo, a German insurance company, has extended its partnership with the Deutscher Fussball Bund to become "one of the most important sponsors of the DFB" for five years from 01/01/2022, announced the German Football Federation on 03/12/2021. This agreement will therefore be in force during Euro 2024, which will be held in 10 German cities.

"With the expansion of the partnership, the company will support the DFB Academy and the amateur football portal Fussball.de in addition to the men's, women's and U21 national teams. In addition, the sponsorship of the DFB-Pokal will be extended," said the body. Ergo had become the first official partner of the DFB-Pokal from 2016-17 on 14/03/2016. Ergo also remains the presenting partner of the "DFB-ePokal powered by Ergo," the esport competition of the DFB.

Ergo thus becomes an official partner, the second level in the German Federation's sponsorship hierarchy, alongside 10 other partners (Commerzbank, Bwin, Coca-Cola, Lufthansa, etc.), just behind the main partners Volkswagen (car manufacturer) and adidas (equipment supplier, €50m per season…
