Sale of AS Saint-Étienne: "We side with Olivier Markarian's project" (S. Bueno, Smart Good Things)

"We and our financiers are on the side of Olivier Markarian's project," said Serge Bueno to News Tank Football, on 08/12/2021 (read the interview below). The president and founder of Smart Good Things, a French company that produces beverages with an ecological approach, thus reaffirms his support for the project to buy AS Saint-Étienne (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) by Olivier Markarian, former CEO of Markal (an organic food company founded by the Markarian family).

"We can immediately inject between €40 and €50m into the treasury to enable the club to deal with the AFCON (in Cameroon from 09/01 to 06/02/2022) and to maintain its position during the winter transfer window. I am not a prince nor a billionaire. I am therefore less sexy in the eyes of the general public. But I deserve a little consideration," said Olivier Markarian to the French sports daily L'Équipe on 08/12/2021. Markal has been a partner of AS Saint-Étienne since 2012-13.
