FC Lorient: "With Covid and Mediapro, we have lost €25m of revenue from our budget" (Loïc Féry)

"With Covid and the termination of Mediapro, we have lost €25m of revenue from our budget. It's up to us to be as efficient as possible by the end of the season. It is in everyone's interest to do so for the club's future," declared Loïc Féry, president of FC Lorient (Ligue 1 Uber Eats), to the French regional daily newspaper Ouest-France on 09/12/2021.

"The impact is not just felt over one year, but over the next few years because our budget of expenses and in particular the player contracts were signed over several years, opposite revenues that are no longer there," added Féry, while his club has dropped from 11^th to 16^th place in the Ligue 1 table after six consecutive defeats (RC Strasbourg, Stade Brestois 29, Angers SCO, Stade Rennais FC, ESTAC Troyes and FC Nantes).
