UK: final Grand Prix of the 2021 Formula 1 season to be broadcast free-to-air on Channel 4

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the 22^nd and final Grand Prix of the 2021 season, will be broadcast free-to-air in the UK on Channel 4 on Sunday 12/12/2021 (race begins at 13:00 local time, 14:00 CET), announced the free and private TV channel on 09/12/2021.

Channel 4 has signed a sub-licensing agreement with the pay-TV operator Sky, which will also broadcast the final Grand Prix. This is the second GP of the season to be broadcast on Channel 4 after the British GP, which is on the list of major events (mandatory to be broadcast free-to-air) in the UK.

Britain's Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) and Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull) are tied on 369.5 points in the drivers' standings going into this final Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton would be the first driver to win eight world titles if he is crowned this season.
