Ligue 1 Uber Eats: AS Saint-Étienne commits to the UN to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040

"As the climate emergency becomes increasingly urgent, AS Saint-Étienne (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) is taking immediate steps to reduce its environmental impact with the ambition of achieving carbon neutrality by 2040," announced the club on 08/12/2021.

AS Saint-Étienne is thus joining the "Race to Zero" carbon neutrality programme and the "Sports for Climate Action" initiative, both set up by the United Nations climate and environment agency (UNFCC). "While AS Saint-Étienne is the first French club to join the 'Race to Zero' programme, it joins major players in sport such as FIFA, UEFA, GIP France 2023, Paris 2024 and football clubs such as Arsenal FC and Liverpool FC (Premier League), Juventus FC (Serie A TIM), Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) and VfL Wolfsburg (Bundesliga) among the signatories of the 'Sports for Climate Action' programme," said the French club.
