FFF: "The first negative operating result (-€3.1m) for seven years" (Philippe Diallo)

"We are presenting a negative operating result (-€3.1m) for the 2020-21 financial year: this is the first time for seven years. The net result is -€200,000 thanks in particular to the exceptional result of €2.7m (with €3.1m from Euro 2020, which appears in this financial year 2020-21 - period from 01/07/2020 to 30/06/2021 - where the French team was eliminated on 28/06/2021, in the Round of 16 vs Switzerland, 3-3, 4-5 on penalties, in Bucharest, ROU)," explained Philippe Diallo, treasurer general of the Fédération Française de Football, who presented its financial report 2020-21 (document available to download) at the body's federal assembly held in Paris (FRA) on 11/12/2021.

"Like the previous year, the 2020-21 financial year was disrupted by an unfavourable health situation, which had repercussions for the FFF's activities. Thus, only the Coupe de France and the National 1, D1 Arkema and D1 Futsal Championships were able to go ahead. The other federal competitions ended with a blank season," explained the treasurer general in the introduction to the financial report.
