Sportdigital acquires broadcast rights to six championships for Germany, Austria and Switzerland

The German pay-TV channel Sportdigital acquired the broadcast rights in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for Hyundai A-League (Australian professional league) and the J.League (Japanese professional league) on 12/08/2014. The rights are for 2014-15 to 2016-17.

Sportdigital will broadcast one Hyundai A-League match per week of the competition effective 10/10/2014, the start of the 2014-15 season. It will broadcast one J.League match per week of that competition effective 16/08/2014.

Both acquisitions are in addition to a series of new broadcast rights for Sportdigital that were acquired in the offseason 2014. The channel extended its broadcast rights for Eredivisie, the Dutch first division, for four more seasons (2014-2018) on 08/08/2014. The rights, acquired through the media rights agency IMG, permit Sportdigital to broadcast two games per week of Eredivisie's competition beginning 10/08/2014.
