LFP/commercial company: around ten offers received, decision from a short list in early 2022

"Earlier this week, the LFP received around ten indicative offers from leading financial investors, recognised in particular for their strong expertise in the sports, entertainment and digital sectors. The Collège de Ligue 1 (the body which brings together the directors of the 20 Ligue 1 clubs within the LFP), which met on Tuesday 14/12/2021, made an initial assessment of the consultation carried out with potential investors with a view to creating the commercial company of the Ligue de Football Professionnel," said the body chaired by Vincent Labrune on 14/12/2021.

"It is now up to the LFP and its councils to analyse all of these offers in the light of the evaluation criteria adopted (expertise, added value, development plan, valuation, financing, governance, etc.) in order to proceed, in the next few days, with the selection of a limited number of candidates for the second phase of the consultation process," added the LFP.
