Barclays, a British bank, has extended its partnership with the Premier League and its title sponsorship of the Barclays FA Women's Super League, the women's competition organised by The Football Association, for a further three seasons (2022-2025), announced the English bodies on 15/12/2021. This naming agreement with The Football Association has now been extended to the second women's division, which will be known as the "Barclays FA Women's Championship" for the 2022-2025 cycle.

"Barclays will also invest more than £30m (€35.1m) in women and girls' football over the period from 2022-2025, doubling the existing investment, and setting a record for investment in UK women's sport," explained The FA.

As a result, the total value of Barclays' renewed naming partnership for the women's first division would have doubled over this new rights cycle from £6m (€6.8m) over 2019-2022 to almost £12m (€14m) over 2022-2025, or £4m (€4.6m) per season. Barclays became the English women's league's first ever title sponsor in 2019-20.
