UEFA/CONMEBOL: opening of a joint office in London & the "Finalissima" Italy-Argentina on 01/06/2022

The inauguration of a joint UEFA-CONMEBOL office in London (ENG) "at the beginning of 2022", followed by the "Finalissima" - also in London - between Italy, winners of Euro 2020, and Argentina, winners of the 2021 Copa América on Wednesday 01/06/2022, are the two key events in the "renewed and extended Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) lasting until 30/06/2028, following on from the successful MoU of February 2020" between the European and South American Football Confederations, announced the two parties on 15/12/2021.

"While the terms of the original agreement remain, this renewed MoU also contains specific provisions related to the opening of a shared UEFA/CONMEBOL office in London and the potential organisation of a variety of football events," explained the bodies.

"We are very much looking forward to explore new opportunities together and we are eagerly awaiting the Finalissima in London in June 2022," said Aleksander Ceferin, president of UEFA.
