Cycling/Saudi Arabia: the Saudi Tour, a UCI race organised by ASO, back on the calendar in 2022

The Saudi Tour 2022 (category 2.1 race on the UCI calendar), which is back on the programme after being cancelled in 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will take place from 01 to 05/02/2022, accordingt to Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO) on 22/12/2021. "The race will take place on a star-shaped course showcasing AlUla, a boutique heritage and culture destination in North West Saudi Arabia," said the event's organising body the same day.

"Resembling 2020, side events will be organised during the Saudi Tour: a mass-participation race (Saudi Tour Ride), a women's race (Saudi Tour Women Ride), a junior race organised by the Saudi Cycling Federation (Saudi Tour Challenge) and a dedicated race for the kids (Mini Kids Race, at every finishing area of the 5 stages) will take place as side events," said the promoters of the event.
