Premier League: BT Sport offers free broadcasts in shopping centre in London

The British pay-TV company BT Sport opened a space for free broadcasts of its programming in a shopping centre on the outskirts of London (United Kingdom) on 15/08/2014. It was thus scheduled for the eve of the launch of the 2014-15 Premier League season, for which BT Sport has a portion of domestic broadcast rights (shared with the pay-TV group Sky Sports).

In the Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford City, customers and visitors to the shopping centre can watch the programming of BT Sport 1 and 2 and of ESPN (programmes for the UK and Ireland) for free in an area that they have dubbed the Fan Crèche. The venue, with a capacity of 100, is open every day of the week from 14:00 to 22:00 local time, and weekends from 10:00 to 22:00.

Aside from BT Sport programming, visitors can discover the other products and services from the British telecommunications group BT, including internet service and broadband TV. Visitors can also make phone calls for free and participate in a contest to win entrance to a "VIP" broadcast event in the Fan Crèche.
