Formula 1: Velas (blockchain, SUI), premium partner of Scuderia Ferrari from 2022

Velas Network AG, a Swiss blockchain and NFT platform, has become a premium partner (2^nd level) of Scuderia Ferrari from 2022 as part of a "multi-year agreement," announced the Formula 1 team on 27/12/2021. This is Ferrari's first partnership with a crypto brand. 

"The agreement provides for the creation of exclusive digital content for the Scuderia's fans. In addition, Velas will be title sponsor of the Ferrari Esports Series, the online mono-brand series of the Prancing Horse, and of the esports team that will compete in the F1 Esports Series, the official digital championship competed in by all teams participating in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship," said Scuderia Ferrari. The Velas branding will also be featured on the team's racing cars. 

The Italian team is the latest to enter the cryptoasset sector. Several teams have already launched NFTs, such as Aston Martin Cognizant F1 Team (in March 2021), Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team and McLaren Racing (in October 2021) or Red Bull Racing (in December 2021).
