Ligue 1 Uber Eats: Instagram, Facebook and Twitter statements of the 20 clubs (January 2022)

The 20 clubs competing in the 2021-22 Ligue 1 Uber Eats season total more than 162 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/01/2022. Since September 2021, the French championship has been ahead of the Bundesliga - which does however only have 18 clubs - and is therefore the fourth most popular European Top 5 league on these three social networks combined, behind the Premier League, LaLiga Santander and Serie A TIM, with an average of 8.1 million fans per club.

Paris Saint-Germain remains the most popular French club with over 111 million fans, followed by AS Monaco FC with 14.9 million and Olympique de Marseille with 12.2 million.

The Parisian club posted the best growth in absolute value among the Ligue 1 clubs during the month of December 2021, with  946,987 additional fans across the three platforms, including 84% on Instagram alone (+795,243 followers).

In terms of percentage growth, RC Lens posted the best increase on Instagram (+4%), while Paris Saint-Germain posted the best growth on Twitter (+1.9%) and Espérance…
