Belgium: €152,000 raised by the Pro League via a charity auction

A charity auction organised by the Pro League has raised €152,000 for Younited Belgium, a charity that promotes social integration through football, according to the Belgian professional football league on 31/12/2021. This is a record amount for the league, which organises the event every year during the Christmas holidays.

"All Jupiler Pro League and 1B Pro League shirts as well as unique objects and experiences" were offered for sale as part of the operation, from 17 to 31/12/2021. At the same time, the Belgian Premier League was also renamed "Younited Pro League" for Matchday 21 of the championship (26 and 27/12/2021) to promote the charity (see below).

"Thanks to the solidarity of our fans and partners, we can offer footballers and the Younited Belgium operation a wonderful end-of-year gift. The result of the Christmas event is a great confirmation of the strong and lasting partnership between the clubs, Younited Belgium and the Pro League. We would like to thank our fans and all the clubs, partners and collaborators," said Pierre François, CEO of the Belgian league.
