Ligue 2: Christophe Maillol acquires 92% stake in Le Havre AC; to be president in September

"The members of the supervisory board of Le Havre AC have voted unanimously to approve Christophe Maillol's proposal", the Ligue 2 club announced on 19/08/2014; Maillol will acquire a 92% stake in the club. "The agreement with the members of the supervisory board will take effect on 01/09/2014."

"In the second half of September 2014, a general shareholders' assembly will be held which will conclude the handover," said the club. "In the coming months, additional funding will be brought in by major partners to quickly move things forward."

Christophe Maillol, a former rugby player, should become the president of the club during this general assembly held by the end of September. He will succeed Jean-Pierre Louvel who has held the position since 2000; Louvel will remain on the executive board, the club said.
