Man. United: Richard Arnold appointed CEO, Ed Woodward steps down as vice-chairman on 01/02/2022

Richard Arnold, group managing director of Manchester United FC (Premier League) since March 2013, has been appointed as chief executive officer, which will take effect from 01/02/2022, announced the club on 06/01/2022.

Richard Arnold, who has worked at Manchester United for nearly 15 years after being named commercial director in 2007, then group managing director in 2013, is also chairman of the board at the Manchester United Foundation and will replace Ed Woodward, who announced his decision to step down as the club's executive vice-chairman at the end of 2021, on 20/04/2021 (see below). "I am honoured to have the chance to serve this great club and its fans. I am determined to return that honour in any way I can," said Richard Arnold.
