Africa: Cameroon - Burkina Faso opening match of the 33^rd AFCON in Yaoundé (CAM) on 09/01/2022

Cameroon - Burkina Faso, at the Olembé Stadium in Yaounde (CAM), on Sunday 09/01/2022 (kick-off at 17:00 CET), is the opening match of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations 2021, which will be played in Cameroon until Sunday 06/02/2022.

"Following extensive consultation with Cameroon government in the light of the health crisis and the challenges imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, CAF and the Local Organising Committee have agreed to cap the capacity of the stadiums during the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Cameroon 2021, between 60% and 80%," announced the African Confederation on 04/01/2022.

"The 80% capacity will apply only during host nation, Cameroon, matches while the rest of the matches will be capped at 60% capacity," added CAF.
