ExclusiveFootball: 1,444 sponsorship/partnership agreements recorded in 2021 (+32.7% compared to 2020)

1,444 is the number of football sponsorship agreements compiled by News Tank Football between 01/01 and 31/12/2021. This report, based on official statements from clubs, leagues and advertisers, mainly concerns the European Top 5 leagues (Bundesliga, LaLiga Santander, Ligue 1 Uber Eats, Premier League, Serie A TIM).

During this year, which was disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic, News Tank recorded 1,444 agreements, compared to 1,088 in 2020, an increase of 32.7% over 12 months. Over the course of 2019, News Tank recorded 1,150 sponsorship deals.

857 deals were made within the European Top 5 in 2021, compared to 607 in 2020, an increase of 41,1%. For each championship, clubs and leagues made more partnerships in 2021 than in 2020. The Serie A TIM remains the league with the most sponsorship deals signed (199), while the Ligue 1 Uber Eats is in fifth place (112 deals). The Bundesliga was the league that posted the biggest increase in number of partnerships signed in 2021 (+61.2%).
