Serie A TIM: attendance for Matchday 20 (14,343 spectators on average per game, 4 matches postponed)

Matchday 20 of the 2021-22 Serie A TIM season drew an average of 14,343 spectators per game on Thursday 06/01/2022. The average fill rate was 33.4%.

Stadium capacities authorised by the public authorities in Italy have once again been limited to 50% since the end of December 2021, as was the case for the first seven matches of the season (it had then been increased to 75% in the period between). Another consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic and the eruption of the Omicron variant in Europe is the increase in cases among players, which led to the postponement of four games on Matchday 20.

AC Milan - AS Roma (3-1), kick-off at 18:30 CET, was the match that posted the best attendance with 35,870 spectators at the Stadio Giuseppe-Meazza (78,328 capacity), for a fill rate of 45.8%. Three of the other five matches drew fewer than 5,000 spectators.

The average attendance of the 2021-22 Serie A TIM is 16,394 spectators per game after 20 matchdays, for an average fill rate of 43.3%. No other league among the European Top 5 has recorded such low numbers this season.
