"Our budget will be close to €60m, of which more than 70% will come from private funds, with a portion coming from ticketing and the 822,000 or so tickets that we are expecting to sell. Tickets will be available at the end of 2023 to avoid any confusion with the 2023 Rugby World Cup," said Michel Wiener, executive director of France's 2025 Rugby League World Cup bid committee, to News Tank Football on 11/01/2022.

France was formally announced as the host country of the 2025 Rugby League World Cup the same day.

"Luc Lacoste, president of the French Rugby League Federation, obtained an exclusive mandate from the International Rugby League (IRL) in the spring of 2021 and we signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) with them at the end of December 2021, which included the key elements of our contract. We have reached an agreement with the IRL around a strategic, economic and financial model that provides that we benefit from the marketing and audiovisual rights," added the director of the bid committee.
