Saudi Arabia: Dakar, Supercopa de España, Newcastle, the Kingdom continues its expansion in sports

The 2022 edition of the Dakar Rally ends in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia this Saturday 14/01/2022, an event organised by Amaury Sport Organisation in the country since 2020, after 11 editions in South America.

In parallel, the Kingdom of the Persian Gulf is hosting the RFEF and its 2021-22 Supercopa de España in Riyadh, with the semi-finals, Real Madrid CF - FC Barcelona and Club Atlético de Madrid - Athletic Club Bilbao, on 12 and 13/01/2022 respectively, followed by a final on 16/01/2022.

It was also to host the 2021-22 Supercoppa Italiana, as part of an agreement signed in Zurich (SUI) between the Lega Serie A and the General Sports Authority of Saudi Arabia on 06/06/2018, which provided for the hosting of three of the five upcoming Italian Super Cups, including the 2018-19 edition, in Saudi Arabia. The 34^th edition, which pits FC Inter Milan, the 2020-21 Serie A TIM champions, versus Juventus FC, Copa Italia winners, will be taking place at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (Milan) on Wednesday 12/01/2022.
