The Chinese manufacturer of solar panels Yingli Solar extended its partnership with Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) through 2016-17, the club announced on 19/08/2014.

Yingli Solar has been a partner of the 2013-14 German champion since 2011. As part of the partnership, the Chinese company installed solar panels on the club's training centre, which will save up to 21 tonnes of CO2 per year.

The company will be displayed on LED advertising in the Allianz Arena. It also received hospitality packages and will be present on FC Bayern Munich's communication.

  • FC Bayern Munich AG, the holding company that owns Bayern Munich (Bundesliga, GER) and its stadium, the Allianz Arena, made a record turnover of €432.8m in 2012-13.
    • This is the first time that Bayern had an annual income greater than €400m.
  • Bundesliga’s cumulated turnover doubled in nine years, from €1.09bn in 2003-04 to €2.17bn in 2012-13.
