2021-22 Ligue 1 Uber Eats: an average of 4,789 spectators per game on Matchday 20, 3 games postponed

Matchday 20 of the 2021-22 Ligue 1 Uber Eats season drew an average of 4,789 spectators per game from Friday 07 to Sunday 09/01/2022. The average fill rate was 15.5%. These exceptionally low figures can be explained by the 5,000 spectator limit imposed at all Ligue 1 stadiums until and including 23/01/2022.

The Groupama Stadium, where Olympique Lyonnais played Paris Saint Germain (1-1) on 09/01/2022 in front of 4,977 spectators, is the stadium most penalised by the new capacity restrictions due to its high commercial capacity (59,186), which means that it was only 8.4% full on Matchday 20.

Three matches have also been postponed (see new dates below) due to too many cases of Covid-19 between players in at least one of the two squads scheduled to play each other. FC Girondins de Bordeaux - Olympique de Marseille (0-1), which could have been attended within the above-mentioned limits, was held behind closed doors upon the initiative of the Bordeaux club.
