Cameroon 2021: Prudential (insurance), official partner of the TotalEnergies AFCON

Prudential Africa, the African branch of the British insurance company Prudential plc, has become a partner of the Confederation of African Football and the "official insurance partner" of the TotalEnergies AFCON Cameroon 2021 (played from 09/01 to 06/02/2022), announced the company on 09/01/2022.

"As we grow our business in Africa, we also want to support the passion and talent of its people. Africans share a common love for football and we are honoured to be part of a tournament that unites the continent and brings together the brightest talents of African football. Through sports, Prudential wants to encourage people to stay active and lead more healthy lifestyles," said Eric Mboma, chief representative officer at Prudential Northern Africa Region. The insurance company is present in eight African countries, where it has more than 1.7 million clients.

In January 2022, CAF also signed sponsorship agreements with TikTok (social network), Umbro (equipment manufacturer) and Binance (crypto-assets) for the 33^rd edition of the AFCON.
