2021-22 Ligue 1 Uber Eats: attendance for Matchday 21 (4,529 spectators on average per game)

Matchday 21 of the 2021-22 Ligue 1 Uber Eats season drew an average of 4,529 spectators per game from Friday 14 to Sunday 16/01/2022. The average fill rate was 14%. These exceptionally low figures can be explained by the 5,000 spectator limit imposed at all Ligue 1 stadiums until and including 23/01/2022.

The Stade Orange Vélodrome, where Olympique de Marseille - LOSC Lille (1-1) played on 16/01/2022 in front of 5,034 people, was the stadium that was most penalised by the new capacity restrictions due to its high commercial capacity (66,226), which meant that it was only 7.6% full on Matchday 21.

The average attendance of Ligue 1 Uber Eats fell to 20,514 spectators per game at the end of Matchday 21 (excluding matches played entirely behind closed-doors), for an average fill rate of 65.2%. These figures will fall further on Matchday 22 (see programme below) as the cap of 5,000 spectators will still be in effect.
