Netflix: agreement for a behind-the-scenes tennis (ATP, WTA, Grand Slams) documentary series

The streaming platform Netflix is partnering with the ATP Tour, ATP Media, the WTA Tour and the Grand Slam tennis tournaments (Australian Open, Roland-Garros, Wimbledon and the US Open) to produce a documentary series about professional tennis, beginning with the 2022 season, announced the ATP on 14/01/2022.

"The series will offer an unfiltered look at life inside the competitive sport of professional tennis through the perspective of the players and their teams, in the same spirit as Formula 1: Drive to Survive and the recently announced project featuring golf's PGA Tour. The series will also be the first sports programme of its kind to provide an equal platform to the men's and women's competitors of the sport," said the ATP.

Filming is currently underway at the Australian Open with the build-up to the tournament marked by the Australian government's deportation of Serbian player Novak Djokovic, ranked as ATP's world No. 1 (see related article).
