Paris 2024: France Télévisions acquires broadcasting rights for the Paralympic Games

Paris 2024 has awarded the French public broadcasting group, France Télévisions, the audiovisual and digital broadcasting rights in France for the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games (from 28/08 to 08/09/2024), announced the organising committee on 18/01/2022.

"To ensure maximum coverage of the event, Paris 2024 had set very ambitious criteria in selecting its national broadcaster for the Paralympic Games. France Télévisions was able to meet these criteria by capturing and broadcasting all the sports (a first in the history of the Paralympic Games), free access to 300 hours of live coverage and exceptional 24-hour exposure thanks to the complementary nature of the group's two premium channels, France 2 and France 3," said Paris 2024.

France Télévisions also holds the free-to-air broadcasting rights to the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, acquired under sublicense from US broadcasting group Discovery at the same time as the free-to-air rights to the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics on 22/04/2019.
