2021-22 Serie A TIM: attendance for Matchday 22 (4,391 spectators on average per game)

Matchday 22 of the 2021-22 Serie A TIM season drew an average attendance of 4,391 spectators per game from Saturday 15 to Monday 17/01/2022. The average fill rate was 11.6%. These unusually low figures can be explained by the 5,000 spectator limit imposed on all Italian stadiums by the Lega Serie A from 15/01 to 05/02/2022 (Matchdays 22 and 23 are concerned).

"This decision, taken in response to a request from Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, demonstrates the great sense of responsibility of football clubs in the face of the emergency situation linked to the increase in Covid-19 cases in the country, despite full compliance with the current security procedures still adopted to control access to the stadium (via the 'Super Health Pass')," explained the Italian League on 08/01/2022.

Seven of the ten games on Matchday 22 were attended by 5,000 spectators (see below).

The average attendance of the 2021-22 Serie A TIM season has dropped to 15,662 spectators per game after 22 matchdays, for an average fill rate of 41.4%.
