Vinai Venkatesham has become the chief commercial officer of Arsenal (Premier League), the club announced on 21/08/2014. This appointment follows the departure of Tom Fox (USA), in office since August 2009, who was appointed chief executive officer of Aston Villa (Premier League) on 21/08/2014.

Vinai Venkatesham was the sales and marketing director of Arsenal since November 2013. He was also the commercial manager of the London 2012 Organising Committee from November 2006 to March 2010. As chief commercial officer of Arsenal, he will be in charge of partnerships, hospitality, marketing, customer relationship management and of the commercial development of the club.

Tom Fox, new chief executive officer of Aston Villa, will take over the function following the resignation of Paul Faulkner (ENG) on 08/07/2014. Paul Faulkner was, initially, replaced by Robin Russell, financial director of Aston Villa, before Randy Lerner (USA), the owner of the club, appointed Tom Fox.
