Premier League: a turnover of £3.157bn (+9.5%) and net profit of £138.2m in 2020-21

The Football Association Premier League Limited, the company responsible for organising the Premier League and managing its audiovisual and commercial rights, has posted a turnover of £3.157bn (€3.703bn) for the 2020-21 financial year ending 31/07/2021, an increase of 9.5% compared to 2020 (£2.884bn/€3.186bn), according to the English League's financial statements published on 11/01/2022 (document available to download).

This 2020-21 financial year, the second of the 2019-2022 cycle of TV and commercial rights for the Premier League, shows a variation in revenue compared to the previous financial year which is related to the discount (approximately £330m/€368m) which was granted to domestic (Sky, BT Sport and Amazon) and international broadcasters in respect of the 2019-20 season due to the interruption of the league for three months in March 2020 and its resumption behind closed doors on 17/06/2020. This discount has been spread over several seasons.
