Brentford FC: a turnover of £15.3m (+10.3%) and net loss of £2.4m in 2020-21

Brentford FC (Premier League) posted a turnover (excluding capital gains on player transfers) of £15.3m (€17.8m as of 30/06/2021) for the 2020-21 financial year (01/07/2020 to 30/06/2021), up 10.3% versus the 2019-20 financial year (£13.9m/€15.2m on 30/06/2020), announced the club that played in the Sky Bet Championship during the season, in its financial report (document available to download), published on 17/01/2022.

The increase in turnover was "driven by increases across EFL and FA revenues, other football revenues (including monies from live TV coverage) and commercial income. It is also despite a sharp reduction in ticketing income due to matches being played behind closed doors or in front of a significantly reduced capacity as a result of the pandemic," explained the club, which posted a loss after tax of £2.4m (€2.8m, 2020: loss of £10.3m/€11.3m).
