Innovation: Formula One, NBA and UEFA, the most influential brands in sport in 2021 (The STA Group)

Formula One, NBA and UEFA are the most influential brands in 2021 in terms of innovation and technology in the sports sector, according to the Sports Technology Power List published by the STA Group, a British company specialised in these two areas, on 18/01/2022.

Among the 50 brands ranked in the Sports Technology Power List 2021 are:
- 18 bodies (including seven in the Top 10)
- 12 broadcasters (including DAZN, 7^th)
- 7 technology companies (including Ticketmaster Sport, 16^th)
- 6 companies dedicated to performance (including Statsports, 5^th)
- 3 clubs/teams (including Ineos, 18^th)
- 2 tournament organisers (including The All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, organiser of Wimbledon, 11^th)
- 2 sports data companies (including Sportradar, 9^th).

In addition to Ineos, owner of OGC Nice (Ligue 1 Uber Eats), football is represented by two international bodies (UEFA and FIFA), two European Top 5 Leagues (LaLiga and DFL) and two clubs (FC Barcelona and Chelsea FC).
