DFL: 18^th edition of the Day of Remembrance in German Football, in tribute to victims of Nazism

The DFL and all Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga clubs will celebrate the 18^th "Day of Remembrance in German football" in honour of the victims of Nazism on Matchdays 20 and 21 of each of the two leagues (see programme below), announced the German professional football league on 20/01/2022. This annual initiative was first launched in 2004.

"Thursday 27/01/2022 will mark the 77^th anniversary of the liberation of the survivors of the Auschwitz (POL) concentration camp. As part of the Day of Remembrance in German football, the DFL and its clubs are commemorating the victims of Nazism again this year around 27/01," added the body.

"This is the 18^th time that German professional football has issued a reminder: '!Nie wieder' (Never again!). The initiative of the same name, which initiated the Remembrance Day, has been supported by the DFL for years and is directed against racism, discrimination and anti-Semitism.
