Premiership Rugby: ITV to broadcast at least four free-to-air matches per season until 2023-24

The British free-TV group ITV has acquired the free-to-air broadcasting rights to the Gallagher Premiership Rugby in the UK from Premiership Rugby until the end of the 2023-24 season, according to the body on 20/01/2022. "The new partnership means that the Gallagher Premiership Rugby Final, at Twickenham Stadium on 18/06/2022, will be shown free-to-air for the first time in the competition's history."

In 2021-22, "four Gallagher Premiership Rugby matches will be shown on ITV, in addition to the Final which is on ITV4. All live matches will be simulcast on ITV and BT Sport, who will continue with their comprehensive coverage across the whole season, showing live matches every weekend," continued the body.

The British telecommunications group BT extended its UK TV rights to Gallagher Premiership Rugby for the 2021-2024 cycle on 18/12/2020.
