Canal+ Group: Thomas Sénécal promoted to director of sports from 01/07/2022

Thomas Sénécal has been promoted to director of sports at Canal+ Group and will take up his post on 01/07/2022, announced the French free and pay-TV group on 21/01/2022.

He will report to Gérald-Brice Viret, managing director of Canal+ Group in France. Thomas Sénécal was until now deputy editorial director in charge of motor sports and omnisport.

Thomas Sénécal will replace Thierry Cheleman who, on the occasion of his 70^th birthday, will leave his position as director of sports at Canal+ Group in June 2022. He will continue to work with Vivendi (Canal+'s parent company), a group he joined more than 20 years ago, until December 2022.
