Qatar 2022: Egypt-Senegal, Cameroon-Algeria and Ghana-Nigeria among the five African play-offs

These are the five African play-offs for qualification to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, following the draw made by Emmanuel Adebayor (TOG) and El-Hadji Diouf (SEN) on the sidelines of the TotalEnergies AFCON Cameroon 2021, in Douala (CAM), on 22/01/2022.

The first legs will take place in the first mentioned countries on 24/03/2022, the second leg matches will be played in their opponents' countries on 29/03/2022. The five winners will represent Africa at the 2022 World Cup.

With less than 10 months to go until the opening match of the competition (21/11/2022), 13 of the 32 teams have already qualified:
AFC (1): Qatar, host country.
CONMEBOL (2): Brazil and Argentina.
UEFA (10): Germany, Denmark, France, Belgium, Croatia, Spain, Serbia, Netherlands, England and Switzerland.
