FC Inter Milan: a modified logo and shirts flocked in Mandarin to celebrate Chinese New Year

FC Inter Milan have implemented several initiatives to mark Chinese New Year (entry into the Year of the Tiger on 01/02/2022) during the match versus Venezia FC (2-1, Matchday 23 of the Serie A TIM) on Saturday 22/01/2022. Notably, the club changed its logo and saw its players wear special shirts flocked in Mandarin and adorned with a tiger claw motif.

Several other initiatives were also planned at the Stadio Giuseppe-Meazza (Milan, ITA) for the matchday. The big screens and LED signage at the edge of the pitch displayed Chinese New Year messages, while hospitality areas were adorned with Chinese New Year decorations, according to the Milanese club. Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) also implemented similar elements during their match versus Stade de Reims (4-0) on 23/01/2022 (see below).

"The Inter logo as part of the club's visual identity has been enhanced by a tiger scratch both digitally and in the range of products that are dedicated to the lunar new year," said the Italian club, which also sent greetings to its Chinese fans via video (see below).
