LaLiga Santander: Real Sociedad forms partnership with Japanese group Wakatake (training)

Real Sociedad (LaLiga Santander) has entered into a partnership with Wakatake Group, a Japanese organisation specialised in the training of young players, to whom it will provide "educational and methodological advisory services by giving training sessions," announced the club on 27/01/2022.

"This link-up between the two organisations benefits a group of Japanese youngsters selected by Wakatake. As part of their training program, they will come to Zubieta (where the Basque club's training centre is located) to learn first-hand the method and principles of the club. Over the next three months, they will receive coaching and will participate in training sessions with la Real's formative teams," said the Spanish club.

Real Sociedad is the fifth Spanish professional club to collaborate with the Japanese group, which is already a partner of four top clubs (Villarreal CF, RC Celta, Levante Union Deportiva, Real Betis Balompié) and SD Huesca (LaLiga SmartBank). Wakatake Group is also an official partner of LaLiga for football development and coach training in Japan until June 2022.
