As part of its 2021-2025 strategic plan, the Real Federacion Espanola de Futbol (RFEF) will allocate more than €35m in additional aid to the regional federations ("Federaciones Autonómicas y Territoriales"), announced the Spanish Federation on 28/01/2022.

A specific fund will thus be created in order to "guarantee the development of the fundamental objectives of the strategic plan," said the RFEF. The regional federations will be able to use it "to repay outstanding loans for the construction of infrastructures, to finance digitalisation measures or to improve their competitiveness."

"This €36m (Plan eVolución) is in addition to the amounts already received by the regional federations in direct aid from the RFEF under different concepts. The sum of all the amounts makes this aid policy led by Luis Rubiales (president) the highest in the history of the RFEF, despite going through one of the toughest economic times due to the pandemic," explained the body.

"The inequalities in the distribution of funds to territorial federations have been corrected" (RFEF)
