2022 Australian Open: 385,000 viewers in France for the Nadal - Medvedev final on Eurosport

The final of the 2022 Australian Open men's Grand Slam tennis tournament, won by Spain's Rafael Nadal against Russia's Daniil Medvedev (2-6, 6-7, 6-4, 7-5), drew an average of 385,000 viewers in France, with a peak audience of 718,000, on the pay-TV channel Eurosport 1 on Sunday 30/01/2022 (between 09:47 and 15:16), according to data from the audience measurement institute Médiamétrie.

This figure represented an audience share of 3.7% and ranked Eurosport 1 as the second most popular French channel among Canal+ subscribers during the final. "The day also marked the highest ever number of viewers for tennis on Eurosport, with 1.4 million," said the pay-TV channel.

Eurosport also achieved "its best ever day with an audience share of 1.9% over the whole day (30/01/2022) for sports events on Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2."
