TikTok: number of followers of the 82 European Top 5 clubs with an official account (February 2022)

With 23.7 million followers, Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) remain the most popular European club on the Chinese social network TikTok,far ahead of Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League, 13 million) and FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander, 12.7 million), according to data recorded by News Tank Football on 01/02/2022.

Tottenham, now second ahead of Barcelona, posted the best increase in absolute value with an additional 1.1 million fans gained in January 2022, followed by Juventus FC (Serie A TIM, +1 million) and AS Monaco FC (Ligue 1 Uber Eats, +700,000).

The best percentage growth was posted by Athletic Club Bilbao (LaLiga Santander, +156.7%), ahead of Stade Brestois 29 (Ligue 1 Uber Eats, +52.9%) and Aston Villa FC (Premier League, +44.2%).

82 of the 98 clubs competing in the European Top 5 in 2021-22 (83.7%) have an official account on TikTok:
• 20 out of 20 (100%) in the Premier League
• 18 out of 20 (90%) in LaLiga Santander
• 17 out of 20 (85%) in the Ligue 1 Uber Eats
• 15 out of 20 (75%) in the Serie A TIM
• 12 out of 18 (66.7%) in the Bundesliga.
