FC Barcelona: presentation of a report on the club's management under former president Bartomeu

"The due diligence detected a number of dubious transactions," said Joan Laporta, president of FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander), on the occasion of the presentation of a report on the investigation into the management of the Catalan club, which was previously headed by Josep Maria Bartomeu, on 01/02/2022.

The report, which was officially handed over to the Public Prosecutor's Office as part of a complaint filed by Barça, presents the conclusions of the audit of the club's economic situation carried out by the firm Deloitte at the request of the new management just after Joan Laporta's election on 07/03/2021. Josep Maria Bartomeu, president of Barcelona since January 2014, resigned along with his entire board on 27/10/2020.

"Unjustified payments, falsely justified payments or payments of disproportionate amounts" were identified by Deloitte and Barça's current legal department.
